• Oral surgery

Dr Blagova holds a master's degree in dental medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the Medical University of Plovdiv, where she also qualified as a specialist in oral surgery.

During her studies she was lead researcher of a project funded by the Medical University of Plovdiv under the “Start of Doctoral Programmes” scheme; she did research, teaching and clinical work and led a student circle in oral surgery.

Today she works mainly in oral surgery. Her interests include new technologies and methods that streamline surgical protocols, the use of high-energy laser radiation and ultrasound in oral surgery, bone surgery and healing, and mandibular third molars – impaction and surgery.

She is a member of the Union of Scientists at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and of the Bulgarian Dental Association (BgDA).
